Hi, I’m Maegan Burkart. Me, my husband, Mike, and our two boys, Isaac and Brock, recently started wanting a farm for the boys to grow up on.  When I began reading up on alpacas, I knew that they were perfect for us. Now that we have our own, we are becoming involved in many sides of the business. We have started, in my opinion, with some wonderful animals. I learned to shear in the spring of 2009, and am available for hire.  Last summer, once shearing and shows were behind us, I learned how to spin fiber into beautiful yarn. My handmade yarn and other items are for sale on my Etsy website.
We currently have a small herd of eight huacaya alpacas, although I would like to breed both huacaya and suris eventually.  I have been interested in uniquely-colored alpacas from the beginning, particularly appaloosas.  Plan a visit to my farm and learn a lot while meeting these interesting and amazing animals.  We are currently accepting new boarders and don't wait to schedule shearing, call me as early as January.  I love to share the excitement of alpacas and the lifestyle with others, contact me with any questions or to plan your visit!
